I’m Tirso Cons — comic book artist, illustrator, and painter, born in Pontevedra, Spain, in 1979. My professional journey began in advertising after earning a degree in Advertising and Public Relations in Madrid. I worked as an art director at Contrapunto BBDO, where I first discovered my passion for illustration.
In 2003, during the Expocómic convention in Madrid, I reconnected with the comic book world, which marked a turning point. A year later, I began working in the French-Belgian comics market, collaborating with publishers like Paquet, Humanoïdes Associés, Glénat, and Delcourt. My work includes titles such as El Ojo del Diablo, Le Manoir des Murmures, Les Chroniques de Légion, and Trackers.
My style blends traditional and digital techniques, allowing me to move fluidly between comic art, illustration, and storyboarding for advertising. In recent years, I’ve also expanded into the U.S. market, illustrating titles for DC Comics such as Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter, where I reimagine iconic characters in epic fantasy settings.
I’m currently based in Madrid, where I continue to develop new visual narratives and collaborate on projects that bring together my experience in comics, illustration, and visual storytelling.
